Iranian wrestlers have been performing exceptionally well at the Dan Kolov-Nikola Petrov Tournament, which is being held in Sofia, Bulgaria from March 7-11, 2024.
In particular, Akbari won a gold medal in the Greco-Roman wrestling category of 97 kg, while Ebrahimzadeh secured another gold medal for Iran in the free-style wrestling category of 65 kg.
Additionally, Gholamreza Farrokhi also made it to the final round of the tournament in the Greco-Roman wrestling category.
Overall, on the third day of the tournament, Iranian wrestlers won 6 medals - 4 golds, 1 silver, and 1 bronze.
